A Cozy Retreat - Monteith's Mountain Den

Nestled on the picturesque side of Mount Buninyong, this charming country accommodation provided the perfect surroundings for a Sunday Linen photoshoot. From the moment I arrived with my car packed full of Sunday Linen pieces, I was greeted by the most breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Claire, the owner and host of Monteith's Mountain Den, was kind enough to meet me and take me on a short tour of the property.

Following the garden path to the front entrance, I made my way inside. My first thoughts were, "Oh wow, how beautiful." I immediately felt a sense of calm and knew the day here was going to be special. I wished I had more than one night here but knew I would be back again with some girlfriends or my family for a rustic weekend away.

The Living Room

The first room I entered after making my way through the front doors was the living room. Every piece of furniture and accessory felt like it had been carefully curated for its perfect position within the space. It’s a testament to thoughtful design and classic country comfort. I felt like I was visiting an old friend; there was a sense of familiarity within the walls, and I put it down to feeling comfortable and safe. It felt like home.

The Kitchen

The kitchen is spacious and bright, blending functionality with rustic charm. I adored the family dining table and its small imperfections. I imagined the many family dinners and conversations that had been enjoyed here before. The attention to detail is evident throughout the kitchen and dining area. From freshly baked brownies (I ate a lot of these) to the large selection of loose leaf teas and a special jar of biscuits for guests to feed to the sheep!

The Bedrooms

Each of the three bedrooms in the house is a sanctuary of comfort. I was greeted with comfy beds and cloud-like pillows. Throughout the photoshoot, our linen products were styled to enhance the natural beauty of the home’s interiors. The soft, breathable fabrics of our quilts and pillowcases added an extra layer of comfort, perfectly aligning with the cozy, country feel of the house. Each room was thoughtfully arranged to showcase how Sunday Linen can transform any space into a haven of relaxation and elegance.

After a full day of styling and photographing, I ventured outside with a cup of tea (and a few more brownies) to explore the garden and enjoy the warmth of the afternoon sun.

Stepping into the garden felt like entering my own private retreat. The views of the rolling hills were vast and I eagerly wanted to capture every detail. As the sun began to set, I found myself a quiet spot overlooking the paddock where the sheep quietly picked through the grass and nibbled at the biscuits I had left for them.

The entire paddock was soon drenched in the golden light of the setting sun, creating one last perfect country scene.

Our photoshoot at Monteith's Mountain Den on Mount Buninyong beautifully showcased the timeless appeal of Sunday Linen’s products. The blend of elegant interiors and our luxurious linen created a harmonious setting, perfect for inspiring our customers to bring a touch of country charm into their own homes.
